“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward”.
The children’s department strive to meet the emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs of each child.
It provides fun, education, spiritual and stimulating activities for the children through the year. The activities are be-spoke to the following age groups.
3-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-15 and 16-18.
The activities include bible studies, children’s choir, musical tuition, day trips and sight-seeing, socials, sports, etiquette training, life skills, dance ministry, arts and crafts, quizzes, educational support and holiday and summer school. Its volunteers are all DBS checked and are passionate about children’s development and wellbeing. The aim of the Croydon Children’s Department is to introduce all children to the Bible and lay the foundation for them to lead a moral life and perhaps choose to enter into a relationship with God.
To achieve this the children are encouraged to attend structured classes each Sabbath School (Saturday) morning between the hours of 10.00 – 11.30. Leaders of the department are experienced teachers and child workers who are enthusiastic in seeking to support pupils who may also be struggling academically. Incorporating various teaching methods, the children are encouraged to explore the Bible in ways which are creative and fun. Children from the local community are welcome to attend Sabbath School and any events the Children’s department hosts.
