Missionary Dorette Isaacs (Evangelism and Community outreach)

Missionary Isaacs became a Christian in 1982.She was ordained as a missionary in 1990, and joined the Church of God (Seventh day) in 2000.

She is very passionate about winning souls for Christ and her years of experience as a missionary enables her to attend to the spiritual needs of individuals. This ranges from prayer, supporting Christians with their walk with Christ and bible study. Missionary serves the community by supporting individuals and sign posting them to agencies within the Croydon area. On a weekly basis she assists the Community Outreach team with the coffee morning which is held every Tuesday at the Church. Her wealth of knowledge about social issues and her empathetic nature enables her to reach out and support some of the community’s most vulnerable adults, empowering them with the necessary links to seek employment, support for drug related issues, depression and other social related matters. She is a very warm, friendly and approachable person who can be trusted and relied upon to remain confidential.

She truly endorses the words of Jesus when He commissioned all his followers to ‘go into all the world and spread the gospel message’.

One of her most inspiring scriptures is taken from St. John 14 because  it speaks volumes of a place where it will be joy unspeakable bliss, having escaped the trials and difficulties of this life.

Missionary Isaacs, encouraged by the Holy Spirit, enjoys sharing her testimony of how God has guided and assisted her to stay focused even during times of adversities. She enjoys using her own life experiences to share this message of hope especially to other individuals who are facing difficult situations.

Relying on the promises of Christ enables her to remain encouraged despite the challenges that she faces as a Missionary. She is determined to hold onto to the encouraging words of Christ and live for today with the hope of reigning with him when he returns.
